Enclave - Chicago
As a current resident in the city of Memphis, TN, I’ve frequented several bars and nightclubs in the area. I even worked at one popular spot on Beale St., Club 152. What I’ve noticed is that there is an amazing opportunity for this town to be the hot spot for fun, drinks, and entertainment, but it’s going to take the people demanding excellence in order for that to become a reality. Now with those demands, we have to also give a little to get a little. If we want a club like the Viper Room, we have to be willing to get off our asses, dress to the nines, and spend some cash to get it up and poppin’. Of course, we’re not going to want to do that for any old club, and that’s the purpose of this blog. I believe that with open, honest reviews, including weekly personal accounts, and updated information, the city of Memphis club scene can really get back on track. It might take some effort, but we need our voices heard. And we need to realize that, as the old saying goes, “A closed mouth won’t get fed.” I plan on telling it like it is the good, the bad, and the boring. I will inform you on what clubs are hot and what clubs are definitely not. You can give feedback and any other ways you’d like to help will be greatly appreciated. Club owners will not be able to deny the needs and wants of the very people who keep their joints up and running. In time, we can build this city up one shot glass at a time. So dust off your stilettos girls; and boys get ready to party like a rock star, because we’re in for one very long weekend.
